Asking for directions

Well its not always fun reminiscing past, but sometimes interesting things do happen. I have always been conservative meeting strangers is not my forte, especially if its a Chinese. With Chinese you dont really know what they are saying , there is one dialect called mandarin, whenever you hear them speak its like chiiiing , you just go whaaaaaa...........

Yea so here i was trying to make sense of what was happening . i was stuck talking to complete stranger. listening attentively to what was being conveyed but in truth i could only decipher some code words like straight and something about the lights , mostly it was guess work and i did study their language mind you but when they get down to it, its really sick , some people go so far to distort the words that you will only hear different grunts.

As i was saying i was stuck talking to a stranger, my phone had just died and i was just staring blanked faced at a chinese dude with a stupid grin on my face. Well it was me who initiated contact i could not really blame the other party. You see i was lost and my chinese is not very good so i had only two options. One to wander aimlessly and second to ask for directions . so i took the second option and asked for direction how hard could it be right. I approached a person saying hello and asked the location of my destination. I was pretty confident in my chinese language skill. As soon as the conversation started after few exchange my vocabulary failed me .The whole situation went haywire. When ten minutes useless conversation did not get me anywhere , i gave up .In end i decided to use my ultimate skill, the hand language. Yea talk to the hand bro. That day i learned hand gestures are the real deal. Every one understands them.

You see whenever you are stuck in china and need help first use your phone then your brain if all else fails then a chinese local. And dont bother asking questions our pronunciation is never good no matter how good you think you may sound , dont bother you will waste your time just point in the direction and the say the name of the location if its there he will nod if not well only three more tries to go right. HOW HARD CAN IT BE you never know until you have tried
